Spider-Man has faced off against a variety of villains, including the Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Electro, Sandman, and the Lizard, among others. The Lizard has appeared in live-action films twice: once in The Amazing Spider-Man against Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man, and more recently in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home. Although it’s uncertain if the character will return in future Marvel Cinematic Universe Spider-Man films, the Lizard continues to be featured in animated projects.

Marvel Studios is finishing up work on Avengers: Doomsday, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo. The film is planned to be released later this year, and a sequel, Avengers: Secret Wars, is expected to come out in 2027.

The zombie series now includes four movies, and it made a comeback in 2025 with 28 Years Later. While Murphy wasn’t involved in the second and third films, he officially joined the series with the revival. Despite a disappointing performance in cinemas, 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple quickly became the third most popular title on the Apple TV store, according to FlixPatrol.

Zack Snyder recently revealed another behind-the-scenes glimpse into his DC movie universe. He shared a photo on Instagram from the making of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” showing Ben Affleck in his Batman costume. The picture gives fans a sense of the challenging work that went into creating the film.
