EA Employees Reportedly Panicking Over Saudi-Backed Takeover — “It’s Going to Get Worse”

The $55 billion agreement, initially revealed earlier this week, will result in EA becoming a private company. This will be led by the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia, working with Silver Lake and Affinity Partners. It’s reported that EA will also take on $20 billion in debt to complete the deal. Experts have differing opinions – some believe this could lead to growth, while others consider the move to be a gamble that primarily benefits those involved.

Only Murders in the Building Recap: Widow’s Pique

As you’ll recall from last week’s episode, Sofia and Rainey seem to be plotting something, giving the trio two potential subjects they’re free to discuss on their podcast, thanks to their Wondify contract. On a brighter note, Sofia gave Charles back his phone with no problems, and he’s moved on – now he’s back on dating apps, looking for a new relationship. It seems he’s eager to find someone!

Veronica Mars Is on the Case at Plex

As a longtime fan, I’m thrilled to hear that the original UPN/CW series – you know, the one made entirely by Warner Bros. Television – is coming to Plex! It’s a bit of a bummer though, because if you recently canceled your Hulu subscription, you won’t be able to watch *everything*. This deal doesn’t include the revival season that was made specifically for Hulu, or even the fan-funded film from 2013 that came before it. So, if you’re a completist like me, you’ll still need another subscription to see it all. But let’s be honest, don’t we all usually prefer the original run anyway?

Play Dirty Is Just Stupid Enough to Entertain

Shane Black’s screenwriting work on films like Lethal Weapon, The Last Boy Scout, and The Long Kiss Goodnight brought him significant financial success and also made him known for the over-the-top violence common in 1980s and 90s action movies. Now, Play Dirty feels like a return to the witty dialogue and over-the-top action that first made him famous. However, it almost feels like it’s trying to outdo a style of filmmaking that isn’t really made anymore-it’s as if it comes from a different reality where American action movies became increasingly violent, eventually reaching the extreme level seen in Play Dirty.

Alien: Earth’s Season 1 Finale Twist Is Darker Than Fans Ever Expected

The story primarily focuses on characters connected to Prodigy, one of the five powerful Corporations controlling the world. Prodigy is led by Boy Kavalier, a brilliant young man fixated on maintaining his youth. Boy Kavalier is the creator of the Lost Boys – a group of Hybrids formed by transferring the minds of children with terminal illnesses into artificial bodies. Other important figures include Arthur and Dame Sylvia, scientists who closely work with the Hybrid children, and Kirsh, a Synthetic who handles many tasks, such as managing the lab and caring for the kids. Atom Eins is a puzzling character who has been around since the start of the series, but his background remained largely unknown until the season’s final episode.

Dungeons & Dragons: Heroes of the Borderlands Starter Set is a brilliant starting point to get into the TTRPG hobby

Like most TTRPG starter sets available, Heroes of the Borderlands includes everything a group of five players (1 game master and 4 players) needs to begin their adventures. You’ll find attractive maps, plenty of tokens for monsters, players, and gold, a helpful guide to gameplay, three separate introductory adventures, everything required for character creation, and, crucially, a set of dice. For $49.99, the box offers a substantial amount of content, and it’s all of very good quality – the tokens, in particular, have a lovely shine. However, what really impressed me about this set is its approach to character creation and item management.
Character creation is often a lengthy but enjoyable part of a TTRPG experience, and many starter sets offer a mix of pre-generated character sheets allowing players to choose roles that create a balanced group: a durable character to absorb damage, a stealthy character skilled at lockpicking, a powerful but fragile magic user, and so on. Borderlands also provides these options, but this new set offers significantly more flexibility, thanks to the many cards included.

Cross-Border Cash Without Prefunding? A New Wave

In the harbor town of Singapore, where the air tastes of rain on tin roofs and the numbers drift like dust in the sun, Arf-the patient fellow who keeps coins moving when the world wants to quit-takes a seat at Circle’s table. They’re not promising a miracle, just another path around the long, stubborn line: on-demand credit for cross-border payments, so you don’t have to stuff fiat into a vault and pretend the vault isn’t heavy with time. It’s the kind of trick that makes a man nod, then smirk, and say, well, maybe the world isn’t all thunder after all. 😂💼
