I was absolutely hooked by Archive 81 when it came out on Netflix in January 2022, and I was devastated to find out it wasn’t renewed! It felt like we were left hanging with so many questions unanswered after that eight-episode thriller, and it’s still really frustrating that the creator didn’t get to finish the story they started.
Last year showed this trend clearly, with the studio releasing several sequels and new installments in popular franchises like Marvel, Avatar, Predator, and Tron, as well as a continuation of Freaky Friday. This focus on sequels will be even bigger in 2026, with new movies planned for Toy Story, Ready or Not, The Devil Wears Prada, Super Troopers, Avengers, and Star Wars.
Of all the Marvel shows on Netflix, Iron Fist wasn’t very popular with viewers. However, many fans still think Luke Cage could be a great addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe if given another chance. Although a new Iron Fist has now appeared in the MCU, Luke Cage might still show up in a future Marvel series, possibly alongside some familiar faces.
As a longtime WoW player, I’m really excited about the new Midnight expansion! It’s taking us back to some classic spots from The Burning Crusade, which is awesome. Silvermoon City is actually our capital this time around, and they’ve really expanded Eversong Woods and Zul’Aman – we’ll be leveling through those areas again, and they look fantastic!

Netflix announced its new series, The Hawk, on Wednesday, and released three short preview clips. Will Ferrell not only stars in the show, but he also created it. While a specific release date hasn’t been set, Netflix confirmed The Hawk will be available in Summer 2026. A new teaser trailer offering a first look at Ferrell as Lonnie “The Hawk” Hawkins has also been released and can be watched below.
The Batman 2, the follow-up to the 2022 hit, is coming to US theaters next year. Directed by Matt Reeves, the film stars Robert Pattinson as Batman/Bruce Wayne. Joining him are Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred, Colin Farrell as the Penguin, and Barry Keoghan as the Joker.

His appearance at this weekend’s Oscars, hosted by Conan O’Brien, hints that the show will finally embrace some much-needed humor during a difficult time. However, his involvement raises a lot of questions: Will he announce the award categories? Will he be on screen? And most importantly, will he be allowed to pronounce words however he wants?
