If you’re a sci-fi fan and haven’t seen Planetes, you’re in for a treat! This show, which originally aired in 2003, is a hidden gem of the 21st century, based on the manga Vinland Saga by Makoto Yukimura. It’s set in the future, where space travel is common but divided by class. While the wealthy enjoy luxurious trips, working-class people are stuck with the difficult and unglamorous jobs, like cleaning up dangerous space debris. Planetes follows a team of these space cleaners – some are ambitious and climbing the corporate ladder, others are content with their roles, and a couple dream of escaping their current lives. Here’s what the show is about:

Isiah Whitlock Jr. was born in South Bend, Indiana, in 1954. After college, he trained at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. He began his film and television career in the late 1980s and early 1990s, appearing in small roles in films like Gremlins 2: The New Batch and Goodfellas, and on the television show As the World Turns. Like many actors in New York, he played various characters across several shows in the Law & Order franchise.

Mad Max is set in a dangerous, post-apocalyptic future where a violent motorcycle gang controls the highways. They terrorize people and openly defy the police. But they make a mistake when they target Max Rockatansky, a law officer. After they cruelly attack Max’s friends and family, he’s consumed by a desire for revenge, becoming driven by one purpose alone.
