Growing up, Nintendo games were a huge part of my life, so the thought of actually *working* there always seemed like a total dream job. And apparently, I’m not alone! A report came out last year saying Nintendo is the third most popular company to work for in Japan, which honestly doesn’t surprise me at all – it’s a super desirable place to be.

They want a piece of your hard-earned kopeks, and they’re willing to call it “direct exposure” to the third-largest… well, let’s just say ‘digital curiosity’ by market cap.
Back in January 2023 – it feels like a different century, doesn’t it? – the SEC decided Gemini and their friends at Genesis Global Capital were running an unregistered securities offering. Basically, people were lending their crypto to Genesis (which, in retrospect, was about as safe as lending your car keys to a ferret), and getting interest in return. The SEC, in its infinite wisdom, decided this was…illegal. A shocking twist, I know. 🕵️♂️
The newly remastered Tom and Jerry shorts, *Mouse Cleaning* and *Casanova Cat*, are becoming available on home video in the US for the first time. These episodes are known for containing racially insensitive material, which led to the cancellation of their planned inclusion in *Tom and Jerry: The Golden Collection Volume Two*. While similar older content has been released by Warner Archive in the past, these releases included disclaimers explaining the shorts’ historical context and problematic content.
But of course, as is always the case, something went wrong. Turns out there’s this on-chain analytics folks, Bubblemaps (like everyone has an analytics folk these days), who found out a sophisticated Sybil attack was messing with the token’s debutante ball. Classic.
The SEC decided to get involved because Gemini apparently didn’t feel like properly registering its fancy new Gemini Earn lending program before offering it to regular folks. This program, launched in 2021, allowed customers to lend their precious bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to Genesis Global Capital in exchange for interest rates. Gemini, meanwhile, collected fees as high as 4.29%. A pretty good deal, if you ignore the fact that, you know, it was probably illegal.
Rei Shimobe wakes up in a hotel room with no memory of who she is, finding herself in a city controlled by a dangerous cult called the Shuten Order. Her body is now divided among the cult’s five leaders, and the Angels have given her a mission: God’s Trial. She must discover which of the five ministers killed her, and why, in order to reclaim her soul and be brought back to life.
You can now preorder the script books for Seasons 3 and 4, which will be released on December 9th. We expect a script book for Season 5 to be available after it airs. Season 5, the final season of the popular Netflix series, begins streaming November 26th with the first four episodes. Three more episodes will be released on December 25th, and the series will conclude with the finale on December 31st.
I’ve been hoping Noah Wyle would win an Emmy ever since his days on *ER* back in 2000, so I’m thrilled *The Pitt* finally brought him that recognition. The medical drama received a total of thirteen Emmy nominations and won five awards: Outstanding Drama Series, with Noah Wyle winning Outstanding Lead Actor, Katherine LaNasa taking Outstanding Supporting Actress, Shawn Hatosy from *Chicago P.D.* winning Outstanding Guest Actor, and the show earning Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series. Wyle also contributed to the Outstanding Drama Series win as an executive producer.
