As a huge fan of crime dramas, I was completely hooked by Mindhunter. Budget issues, apparently – a real loss for those of us who were invested in the show.
Similar to many miniseries made before the 2000s and 2010s, The Langoliers effectively told its story in just two 90-minute episodes—a format that’s become rare in today’s miniseries, both on television and streaming. This two- or three-part length feels ideal for adapting Stephen King’s novellas and shorter novels, offering enough time to cover important details without unnecessarily prolonging the narrative. Watching The Langoliers is a great way to experience King’s often-overlooked story all at once.

Netflix has successfully tapped into this demand with popular action series like The Night Agent, The Recruit, and The Bodyguard. While all these shows are excellent, Cobra Kai is likely the best action series currently available on the platform.

Apple TV+ hasn’t yet produced a standout cyberpunk series, and that’s partly because the genre has cooled off a bit. Following the success of titles like Blade Runner 2049 and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, there haven’t been many strong cyberpunk stories in film or television. But Apple TV+’s new show has the potential to revitalize the genre and bring it back to prominence.
