At their heart, slasher films are all about shocking visuals and the fight to survive. They feel like scary stories told around a campfire, especially those from the age of VHS tapes, where even simple beginnings quickly turn incredibly violent. While the first movies in these series are often the most celebrated, it’s the sequels where things really get creative. The 1980s were a fantastic period for horror franchises, and slasher sequels became incredibly popular. Studios built on successful formulas, increased the gore, and weren’t afraid to get really over-the-top. Characters like Freddy became more comedic, Jason kept returning, and killers started using bizarre weapons. It was a time of pushing boundaries, and that led to some surprisingly good, yet often overlooked, movies.

It looks like this season will wrap up while the cast is on their trip, just like past seasons of both *The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills* and *The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City*. This means the women need to resolve their personal issues while they’re still in Orange County. While Josh Flagg and Josh Altman haven’t sold Heather Dubrow’s house yet on the show, it actually sold in August for $16.5 million. Emily’s son Luke finally has a diagnosis, giving her a treatment plan and easing her worries as a parent. Tamra’s daughter has a new boyfriend, which has been her main personal storyline this season. Meanwhile, Gina has a conversation with Cowboy Travis about his parenting and his ex’s behavior. They seem like the most genuine people on Bravo, and I think they (along with Archie Beador) deserve to be shielded from the drama.

Season 2 of *Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage* is back, starting where the last season left off: with Georgie and Ruben now owners of Jim’s tire shop. They’re quickly discovering they have very different ideas about how to run the business, and a nod to *The Big Bang Theory* suggests this could create problems for their relationship in the future.

The anime ended with Gon and Killua parting ways. Killua intends to travel the world with his sister Alluka, while Gon goes back to his home on Whale Island. Throughout the series, Gon and Killua have often been off-screen, taking a backseat to other storylines. Many fans are also concerned that Gon hasn’t regained his Nen abilities after 71 chapters. Despite this, *Hunter x Hunter* has continued without major issues, leading viewers to question if Gon and Killua will ever reappear in the story.
