A new trailer for Atomic Heart DLC 4 has revealed when players can expect its release, and it also showed off a brand new enemy. This will be the final expansion for the 2023 first-person shooter, and it continues the story that began with the game’s extended ending and was further developed in DLCs 2 and 3. Let’s take a closer look!
Atomic Heart DLC 4 Teaser, Release Window, and New Enemy Details
Mundfish, the team behind Atomic Heart, has shared a new trailer for their fourth DLC, revealing it will launch in Spring 2026. The trailer offers a first look at the new location players will explore – a highly secretive part of Facility 3826 that should seem familiar to those who have completed the third DLC.
Atomic Heart DLC 4 Gameplay
The fourth DLC for Atomic Heart will probably play much like the previous expansions. It’s still a first-person shooter, and you’ll continue to play as P-3 as he fights against CHAR-les.
The recent preview revealed a returning enemy – one we’ve seen before, but never fought. These bots have a design similar to the Burlak machines commonly found throughout the game, and we’re excited to finally face them in battle.
DLC 4 Story (WARNING – SPOILERS)
The Atomic Heart DLC continues the story after the longer game ending. Once P-3 frees Ekaterina and reunites her with her original body, both versions of Nechaev seek revenge on Chariton Zakharov. To understand everything, be sure to play both ‘Trapped In Limbo’ and ‘Enchantment Under the Sea’.
The teasers for the new downloadable content (DLC) have only featured P-3 and Twin so far, but fans are curious if characters from DLC 3 will also appear. Since Kolya, Nastya, and the Hunter all escaped the Neptune Complex alongside P-3, there’s a good chance they might return.
Okay, so with this new DLC focusing on CHAR-les, I’m pretty sure we’re going to face off against the main villain! Everyone’s been wondering if this is finally our chance to beat the Jelly Man, and I really hope it is. Plus, I’m expecting to see Granny Zina – she’s been in every DLC so far except for that one, ‘Trapped in Limbo,’ so it’d be awesome to have her back!
That covers all the current information regarding the release timeframe for Atomic Heart DLC 4. We’re excited to play the last part of this game and are also anticipating the release of Atomic Heart 2.
Atomic Heart became available on February 21st for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC (through Steam). Critics generally had a mixed to positive reaction to the game.
