The fourth downloadable content for Atomic Heart, titled Blood on Crystal, will be released on Thursday, April 16th, 2026. It will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Atomic Heart DLC #4 Gameplay

The ‘Enchantment Under The Sea’ expansion delivers the Atomic Heart gameplay fans know and love, while also introducing fresh enemies and exciting new areas to discover.

This new downloadable content appears to feature weapons from earlier expansions, including the melee weapons added in DLC 1 and 3. Players can also expect to encounter familiar enemies from both the main game and previous DLCs, such as the Mads from Annihilation Instinct, along with the new Rafik and Rotorobot enemies that debuted in DLC 3.

The third DLC adds a new enemy – the Burlak – which players may recognize from previous encounters. There’s even a chance to battle a Burav! The trailer also hints at another new enemy type called Polymorphs, though we only get a quick look at them, so details are still unclear.

The new downloadable content appears to feature a diverse range of locations. Players will explore both indoor areas, like facilities, and outdoor environments as they journey through this final expansion with P-3.

Blood on Crystal Story – Atomic Heart DLC #4

The fourth Atomic Heart DLC, ‘Blood on Crystal,’ continues the story established in the second and third DLCs. These expansions take place within the game’s extended ending. Please be aware: the following information contains spoilers! Here’s a brief recap of the important events in the game to get you up to speed.

In the extended game ending, P-3 is double-crossed by CHAR-les (Chariton Zakharov) and banished to Limbo. The “Trapped In Limbo” DLC sees P-3 find his wife, Katya—who previously appeared as Teardrop and had her abilities copied into the Robotic Twins—and together they escape Limbo. P-3 then promises to help Katya and get revenge on the Nechaevs.

The third downloadable content, “Enchantment Under the Sea,” sees P-3 and Katya venture into the Neptune Complex to recover Beta Connectors that P-3 previously got rid of. Along the way, he reconnects with both his mother-in-law, Granny Zina, and Terentiy, a character who first appeared in the first DLC.

While navigating the Neptune Complex, P-3 encounters several new allies: Nastya, Nikolai, and the Hunter. Working together with them and his wife, P-3 successfully escapes the facility and retrieves the rings. Meanwhile, Katya manages to inhabit one of the Twins’ bodies, significantly boosting their combat strength for the upcoming confrontation with CHAR-les.

Whew! That was quite a recap. Now, what can we expect for DLC 4?

The official YouTube description for the trailer says that P-3 and the Twin will enter the Crystal Complex for a final, violent confrontation with CHAR-les. They’ll face new enemies called Polymorphs and the most challenging bosses in Facility 3826.

The final story DLC for Atomic Heart, set in the Crystal Complex, pits P-3 and Twin against CHAR-les in a final showdown to avenge the actions of Zakharov. However, defeating the Jelly Man won’t be easy. Protected by Polymorphs and incredibly powerful himself, CHAR-les represents P-3’s most challenging opponent to date.

So, good news for anyone loving Atomic Heart – this DLC isn’t the end! The developers, Mundfish, have actually revealed they’re planning two more games set in the same universe. I’m super excited to see where they take the story next!

  • The CUBE – an MMORPG where players explore an ever-rotating cube
  • Atomic Heart 2 – The next chapter in the Atomic Heart story. P-3 and the Twins appear to be in the game.

We’re curious to see how DLC 4 shapes up the future of the series.
