Assassin’s Creed: Shadows will follow the path paved by AC: Odyssey, that’s pretty much a given. Store accidentally revealed too much

Assassin’s Creed: Shadows came out in March and has been a hit with gamers and critics alike. Sales could increase significantly now that rumors suggest the game, featuring the story of Naoe and Yasuke, is coming to the new Nintendo Switch 2.

Although Nintendo hasn’t officially revealed the new version of its hybrid console, a French retailer, Auchan, accidentally listed it on their website. We don’t know when it will be released yet, but we’ve gotten a first look at the game’s cover art.

Rumors about *Assassin’s Creed: Shadows* possibly being released on the Nintendo Switch 2 began in July. The game briefly appeared in the PEGI database, suggesting a Switch 2 version, but was quickly taken down.

The upcoming *Assassin’s Creed: Shadows* will be the first major *Assassin’s Creed* game released on Nintendo Switch since *Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey* (which was available via cloud streaming). While it might not launch at the exact same time as on other consoles, it will follow shortly after. Before this, only *Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag* was released on a Nintendo console – the Wii U. Nintendo Switch owners do have other *Assassin’s Creed* games available, but most of those are remasters or collections of older titles.
