23rd January 2025 promises a significant day for Ubisoft as they unveil their Story Trailer for the next major installment in the Assassin’s Creed series. After several postponements, the most recent one moving Assassin’s Creed Shadows from its February release to March, the team is pressing on, diligently working on the final details of this eagerly anticipated action-adventure game.
On the very same day as the first Xbox Developer Direct broadcast in 2025, fans will get a sneak peek at the Assassin’s Creed Shadows Story Trailer, along with glimpses of other upcoming games. Furthermore, on the same day as the Story Trailer premiere, the preview embargo for Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be lifted, and gamers can anticipate a preview from GINX TV in the lead-up to the game’s release.

On January 22nd, 2025, Ubisoft shared on social media that the formal Story Trailer for the forthcoming Assassin’s Creed installment, titled Assassin’s Creed Shadows, will be unveiled on January 23rd, 2025, at 9 am Pacific Time, 12 pm Eastern Time, 5 pm Universal Coordinated Time, or 6 pm Central European Time. In conjunction with the release of this trailer, Ubisoft plans to host a two-hour live broadcast on their Twitch channel on that exact date and time. During the livestream, they will be showcasing official gameplay led by game director Charles Benoit.
After unveiling the initial trailer last year, the teams at various Ubisoft studios have been working tirelessly to prepare the game for release. With several setbacks pushing back the original release date from November 15th, 2024, to February 14th, 2025, and then further to March 20th, 2025, this extra time has been dedicated to fine-tuning the game before its worldwide launch.
