Assassin’s Creed: Mirage is reportedly going to receive DLC after the release of AC: Shadows.
According to Les Echoes, as reported by j0nathan/Video Games Chronicle, Ubisoft’s CEO Yves Guillemot has struck a deal with Savvy Games (owned by the Public Investment Fund) for the creation of downloadable content (DLC) for “AC: Mirage.” Although specifics about the DLC’s content, size, and release date remain undisclosed, it is anticipated that this expansion will be incorporated into the game following the launch of “Assassin’s Creed: Shadows,” which is set for March 20 (after two postponements).
The unexpected launch of the AC: Mirage expansion might catch some off guard given that it wasn’t the top-performing “Assassin’s Creed” title in its day. However, Ubisoft emphasized that sales for this game outperformed all other “next-gen” versions of the series. Additionally, developers hinted in April that they had concepts for continuing Basim’s story, despite not initially planning any DLCs.
To clarify, it’s essential to note that this information is not officially verified. Officially, Ubisoft seems focused on the upcoming Japanese release of their game series, which could be a significant (and potentially final) success for the French publisher after their recent titles that were neither complete failures nor complete successes.
