Asmongold defends his messy room and lifestyle: ‘I live like an American’

Popular streamer Asmongold explained his messy home, saying it actually makes him more relatable to typical Americans compared to other, tidier streamers.

For years, people have joked about and made fun of the messy state of Asmongold’s streaming room and house.

Whenever the 36-year-old has attempted to clean, it hasn’t gone well. He’s discovered unpleasant items like spoiled food and deceased animals while sorting through the mess, and he shared these findings with his audience.

Asmongold is responding to criticism about his lifestyle after another streamer, Denims, shared a picture of his room in an attempt to discredit his views.

Asmongold responded by saying he’s doing very well financially and is both successful and wealthy. However, he prefers to live a relatively simple lifestyle, even though he could afford more extravagance.

I live a normal life, but these people are different. They live a life of luxury, having everything delivered – from food and groceries to housecleaning services. It’s a very pampered existence, frankly.

Asmongold also mentioned he prefers to clean his own house, which he feels is uncommon among other streamers.

Asmongold responded to criticism from streamers Denima and QT Cinderella, who made fun of the state of his home. He explained that he lives a normal life, unlike them, pointing out they rely on deliveries, enjoy luxuries, and have staff to help with daily tasks.

He pointed to an old photo of his messy room, saying, “That’s my place.” He then explained that if streamers like Denims or QTCinderella had a room in that condition, they’d hire someone to clean it. But he always took care of it himself, and he felt that made him a genuinely hardworking and grounded person.

Asmongold explained that he lives just like everyone else and also pointed out that other content creators make their own choices about how to live their lives.

“They want to live like celebrities. I just want to live like an American.”

It’s not the first time Asmongold’s unusual habits have become a viral sensation. He once shared a bizarre story about using a dead rat as an alarm clock – he claimed the smell of the decaying rat, heated by the sun, would wake him up.

Late last year, he claimed he was “beginning to evolve” by not showering for three months.
