I was so touched when I heard about this! Apparently, someone accidentally wiped their fiancée’s Red Dead Redemption 2 save, and Roger Clark, the amazing actor who is Arthur Morgan, was asked to send some encouraging words. It’s just incredible that he’d do that – a really kind gesture for a fellow fan going through a total nightmare!
Players of Red Dead Redemption 2 spend a lot of time building up their game progress, making save files incredibly valuable. Recently, one player unfortunately lost their save file when it was accidentally deleted by their partner.
So, they really messed up, and to try and fix things, they did something crazy! They actually got Roger Clark – you know, the guy who is Arthur Morgan’s voice – to record a personal apology for them. It was a total surprise, and honestly, a pretty awesome way to say ‘we’re sorry!’

If you didn’t know, Clark offers custom video messages to fans through Cameo for $159. But one recent request really caught our attention.
Someone accidentally erased their fiancée’s progress in Red Dead Redemption 2, even though she was really enjoying the game and had been playing with a strong moral compass.
To add to the disappointment, she was already quite far into the game. The person who asked for help wanted to send a message of sympathy, saying they were sorry for her loss and offering encouragement.
Clark didn’t appear bothered by the request at all. He actually shared it on X, encouraging his followers to send the young fan some encouraging messages. He also expressed how amazed he is by the incredible support he receives from fans through Cameo.
I appreciate all the positive responses to my posts, but messages like the one below really make my day. Let’s send this woman some good energy – at least her partner understands where they went wrong, he said.
Since then, many have flocked to the comments to show support.
She said she’d definitely be happier starting a new game file if Arthur Morgan makes her smile.
Someone else added that she’ll have the chance to play the piece again, and this time with a better understanding of it.
Now the real question is whether she’ll forgive her fiancée even if Arthur Morgan asked nicely.
