Kudos to Ariana Grande! She’s just received her first Oscar nomination for portraying Galinda in “Wicked,” and she’s understandably emotional about it. As a matter of fact, she can’t stop crying, as expected. Ariana is expressing her joy by reminding everyone that she has always had a passion for theater. She wrote on Instagram, “I’m humbled and deeply honored to be in such brilliant company and sharing this with tiny ari who sat and studied Judy Garland singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow just before the big, beautiful bubble entered.” In addition, she posted a picture of herself as a child dressed as Dorothy. She captioned it, “I’m so proud of you, tiny.” Ariana also shared a video of a young Ari singing “The Wizard and I,” though it seems she may have sung the wrong song; however, her sentiment (and adorableness) is what truly matters!
In a heartfelt manner, Grande expresses her gratitude towards director Jon M. Chu, co-star Cynthia Erivo, and her “Wicked” family, stating that they each deserve every beautiful flower in every garden. She is still struggling to find the right words but manages to convey her deep appreciation with exclamations of thanks. If given an opportunity, one could imagine this speech to be filled with emotional expressions of gratitude for the support and camaraderie she received during their collaborative project.
