Arcade1Up’s New Budget Pac-Man & Mortal Kombat Cabinets Now Sold On Amazon

So, Arcade1Up has been making those bigger, more expensive arcade cabinets lately – usually around $500 to $600. But they recently went back to their roots with a new line called the Classic Special Edition. I was excited to see these because they’re only $334 and come with 13 games built in! Right now, you can choose from Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, or Mortal Kombat II. The cool thing is they all have online leaderboards, and Mortal Kombat even lets you play against others online. Honestly, the controls and the way these are built feel just as good as their more expensive machines. When I first heard about them in September, Walmart was the only place selling them, but now you can grab them on Amazon too, which is awesome.

The Deluxe Arcade1Up cabinets offer a few upgrades that make them a bit more expensive than standard models. One key difference is size: Deluxe cabinets stand over 5 feet tall, perfect for adult players, while Special Editions are closer to 4 feet. If you prefer the smaller size, you can buy a riser for $59 to bring the height up to 5 feet. Otherwise, you might need an adjustable stool unless the cabinet is for children. The Deluxe versions also feature larger 17-inch screens and illuminated marquees, compared to the 15.6-inch displays and standard marquees of the regular models. Plus, they replace the fake coin door with a front panel displaying game logos.

Arcade1Up Countercades

  • Ms. Pac-Man / Galaga Countercade (3 Games) — $166.51
  • Pac-Man Countercade (3 Games) — $150

Arcade1Up’s Classic Special Editions are their most affordable full-size cabinets, though other, smaller options are available at a lower price. Right now, Amazon has the Class of ’81 Countercade in stock. This compact arcade machine features Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, and Dig Dug, along with a 7-inch vertical LCD screen and full-size controls. It can be powered by Micro-USB or four AA batteries (batteries not included).

The Pac-Man Countercade is a compact arcade machine available for $150. It features the same technology as the Class of ’81 model and comes with three classic Pac-Man games already installed: Pac-Man, Super Pac-Man, and Pac-Mania.

Arcade1Up Deluxe Edition Cabinets

I’m a huge fan of Arcade1Up, and I just checked – Amazon has 10 of their Deluxe Arcade Machines available right now! They’ve got all the classics like Pac-Man and Mortal Kombat II. What’s really cool is the Class of ’81 cabinet – it packs in way more games than the smaller Countercade versions. If you’re into sports, you’re in luck! The Golden Tee 3D machine comes with six different versions of the game, plus Shuffleshot and World Class Bowling. And for basketball fans, they have NBA Jam with the original game, the Tournament Edition, and even NBA Hangtime! It’s awesome.

  • Class of ’81: Ms. Pac-Man & Galaga (12 Games) — $499
  • Pac-Man (14 Games) — $500
  • Golden Tee 3D (8 Games) — $500
  • Mortal Kombat II (14 Games) — $500
  • NBA Jam (3 Games) — $500
  • Galaga (14 Games) — $514
  • Big Buck Hunter Pro (4 Games, 2 Light Guns) — $599
  • The Fast & the Furious (2 Games, Racing Wheel & Pedals) — $600
  • Terminator 2 (2 Light Guns) — $600
  • Wheel of Fortune Casinocade (4 Games) — $500

If you like the idea of Arcade1Up’s smaller arcade cabinets, the Evercade Alpha Taito Bartop Arcade is worth a look. It’s launching on November 12th and features an 8-inch screen with 10 games included. The best part is you can expand your library with hundreds of additional titles by buying Evercade game cartridges. This is the third Evercade Alpha model, following the popular Mega Man and Street Fighter versions, which have been hard to find all year. You can find a detailed review of the hardware here, and we’ve also put together a list of available Evercade game collections on Amazon. The Evercade Alpha Taito Bartop Arcade is available for pre-order now on Amazon for $260. Plus, all the game cartridges are compatible with the Evercade EXP-R handheld and Evercade VS-R home console, both of which are currently back in stock on Amazon for $130 each.
