Everyone needs clean water, so if you discover your water supply is polluted in Arc Raiders, it’s important to fix it quickly. The “Source of the Contamination” quest tasks you with finding the cause of the problem—and while it appears straightforward, pinpointing the exact source can be challenging. We’ll guide you to the Flood Spill Intake location on the Dam Battlegrounds map and help you solve this puzzle.
Just a heads-up: you won’t need to collect anything for this task. You’ll simply be visiting a location and interacting with an object, so it’s best to go with an empty inventory to avoid losing any valuable items.
Where to find the Flood Spill Intake at the Water Treatment Center
The Water Treatment Center is located near the center of the Dam Battlegrounds map. It’s a hotspot for players looking for loot and fights, so approaching from the swamp is a good way to stay stealthy. Plus, the Flood Spill Intake is located outside the building, making that approach even more advantageous.
The Flood Spill Intake is located on the north side of the Water Treatment Center, overlooking the swamp. It’s generally easy to see when you’re coming near it.

Okay, so you’ll know you’re in the right place when you see these concrete walls with really dirty water all around. Then, you just have to head down into that gross water – yeah, it’s not pretty, but that’s where you need to go!

You’ll find a barrel in the water – it’s causing the contamination you’re investigating. Interact with it to disable the source and finish the quest.
Okay, so I can finally head out of this raid using the lift to the north. But before I do, I’m gonna take a look around the swamp. There’s some good loot in the buildings, and I need to find mushrooms! Scrappy back in Speranza needs twelve of them to fully upgrade his stuff, and they’re pretty rare, so I should grab them while I’m here. They grow right on the trees, so I’ll keep an eye out as I explore.
