If you’re exploring the Stella Montis map in Arc Raiders, you might encounter the “Snap and Salvage” quest. This quest involves finding several locations and collecting specific items. It can be a bit time-consuming to complete on your own, so we’ve created a simple guide to help you through each step.
You don’t have to complete every step of this quest in one go – you can spread it out over several raids. However, once you find the Magnetron and Flow Controller, you’ll need to secure them for extraction. It’s a good idea to equip an augment with safe pockets to prevent losing these important items during a raid.
Here’s how to complete Snap and Salvage in Arc Raiders.

Where to find the rovers in the Sandbox and how to take a photo of them
To photograph the rovers in the Sandbox, head to the Sandbox location on the lowest level of the map. It’s located in the center and is easy to reach, but be aware that it’s an open area. Try to quickly take your photos and leave, watching out for other players while you’re there.

When you get to the sandy part of the Sandbox, you’ll easily see a few rovers.

When you get there, you can approach a rover and a yellow message will appear, letting you take a picture. That completes the first step.
Where to find the papers in the Security Checkpoint by the Lobby
After that, make your way to the Security Checkpoint in the Lobby. It’s an open area where raiders can easily spot you, so be careful as you approach. Trying to be friendly can help you avoid conflict.

In this large room, find the door on the east wall marked “Security: Restricted Access.” If the door hasn’t been opened yet, you’ll need to force it open—but please be extremely careful and prioritize your safety before you start.

Enter the door and turn right to find the reception desk, where you can look for the necessary documents.

Now that’s done, you just need to search for a Magnetron and a Flow Controller.
Where to get a Magnetron and Flow Controller
Finding the Magnetron and Flow Controller for Speranza will take more searching than the previous parts of the quest. These items aren’t in fixed locations; instead, they appear randomly throughout Stella Montis. You’ll need to check every container – drawers, lockers, damaged walls, and anything else you can find – to locate them.
Both items have tooltips saying they’re usually found in Exodus locations, so focus your looting efforts in those areas, like the Assembly POI.

Collect all the items you can find in this area, then leave and start over as many times as needed. We were able to find these items pretty easily just by exploring the map during our initial attempts. We hope you’ll have the same luck and be able to quickly complete the Snap and Salvage quest!
Okay, so definitely stash those items somewhere safe – you know, just in case things go south. Then, when you’re done, head back to Speranza at the nearest extraction zone. Seriously, don’t risk losing all that hard work, raider!
