Embark Studios has updated Arc Raiders so players who couldn’t participate before can now experience the Bird City event.
The January 27th Headwinds update for Arc Raiders introduced a new event called Bird City in the Buried City map. This event allowed players to find and collect rare Rubber Ducks, which they could then sell for in-game currency or keep as collectibles.
Similar to other in-game events, this one happened on a fixed schedule each day and lasted only an hour. Unfortunately, the specific timing meant players in many parts of the world couldn’t participate, as it often occurred late at night or during work hours for them.
For a long time, players have been asking the developers to adjust the schedule to be more convenient, and now they’ve listened.
Arc Raiders devs confirm event schedule shake-up
So, I was checking Arc Raiders on January 2nd, and all the events just… disappeared! It was super weird. Luckily, they came back a few hours later, and everyone started guessing that the schedule had been changed, but the developers didn’t say anything about it right away. It was a bit of a mystery for a while!
The next morning, Ossen, the Community Lead, posted an update in the official Discord channel to confirm the news.
Hey Raiders, just wanted to let you know about a little hiccup we had with the map schedule last night. We’ve pushed out an update that fixes it and gets this week’s schedule running smoothly. Plus, we’re giving Bird City a bit more love and it’ll be showing up more often now!

Our event tracker, MetaForge, shows that the Bird City event is happening five times a day now, an increase from the initial three. These events are also scheduled at better times – for instance, players in the UK can now experience it at 6 pm and 10 pm, giving them more chances to participate.
Ossen stated they will keep working to schedule events at times that allow as many people as possible to attend.
We’re continuing to work on the schedule to make sure everyone, in every time zone, has a fair opportunity to participate.
Players will be excited to hear this, particularly with all the new features and content planned for release through 2026.
