I’ve been totally hooked on Arc Raiders since it came out on October 30th! It’s been amazing to see how quickly the game has become popular – everyone, from players like me to reviewers, is loving the weapons, the way it plays, and especially how challenging those enemies are. It’s a really great game!

Arc Raiders is entering a crowded market of popular multiplayer shooting games. It will be challenging for this new release to stand out against established giants like Call of Duty, Battlefield, and Fortnite.

Arc Raiders has achieved something remarkable: it’s now the top-rated multiplayer shooter, even beating out many long-standing favorites in the genre.

Arc Raiders surpasses classics as highest-rated multiplayer shooter

Arc Raiders is receiving very positive feedback, with a score of 93 on OpenCritic and a perfect 100 from players, according to GamesRadar.

Compared to other popular shooters, Arc Raiders is performing well. Critics have given it an 81, and players a 70, which is better than Overwatch 2 (77 critic score, 60 player score) and slightly ahead of Apex Legends. Even Counter-Strike 2, a consistently popular game, has scores of 80 from critics and 70 from players.

Even Battlefield 6, launching shortly before Arc Raiders, received slightly lower scores (84 from critics, 90 from players), though it’s the most comparable game to the new release.

Many competing games have been available for quite some time, so it’s natural that a new release would initially receive high scores as players try it out. Conversely, older games might get lower ratings after a flawed update frustrates users.

Arc Raiders’ rating will likely evolve with future updates, but it’s currently gaining and maintaining a solid player base.
