Arc Raiders made a cameo in South Park and you definitely missed it

Arc Raiders has become popular enough to be featured in a recent episode of South Park.

Since its launch in October, Arc Raiders quickly became a huge hit in 2025. The game has consistently attracted a large and growing player base, and even earned a nomination for Best Multiplayer Game at The Game Awards 2025, competing against popular titles like Battlefield 6 and Elden Ring Nightreign.

Following all the recent attention and awards, the player known for incredible aim has now made a surprise appearance on the animated show, South Park.

Arc Raiders makes surprise Thanksgiving cameo in South Park

Okay, so I was rewatching South Park, specifically the Thanksgiving episode from Season 28 – “Turkey Trot,” which aired in 2025. I noticed Tolkien Black chilling on the couch with a controller. Then Cartman comes barging in, asking what he’s up to, and Tolkien just casually says he’s playing Arc Raiders – you can even hear the game’s shooting sounds in the background! It was a cool little nod, honestly.

The game quickly flashes on the screen before Cartman abruptly pulls the plug on the console, which strangely resembles an Xbox 360, even though Arc Raiders wasn’t released until much later.

Ashley St. Germain, a marketing lead at Embark Studios, explained on LinkedIn that her team found out about the footage being used just two days before the episode went live.

So, it was a crazy week! South Park actually reached out on Monday asking if they could feature ARC Raiders in an episode. We scrambled and got them some gameplay footage on Tuesday, and then boom – there we were in Wednesday’s episode, the ‘Turkey Trot’! It’s kind of wild, honestly. It feels like so many of us, myself included, just can’t stop playing ARC Raiders. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Even though it’s just a quick appearance, the fact that Arc Raiders was featured in South Park shows how much the game has become a mainstream hit. South Park is famous for referencing popular culture, so including Arc Raiders is a sign of the game’s growing success.
