In Arc Raiders, you’re used to escaping levels using things like elevators, trains, and air vents. Raider Hatches offer a quicker way back to Speranza, but you need a Raider Hatch Key to use them. You’ll discover these special escape routes during the “Hatch Repair” quest, and as part of that quest, you’ll also need to fix one of the hatches.
Completing the Hatch Repairs quest doesn’t require any item extraction, though the quest does offer a convenient opportunity to do so if you’d like. Regardless, it’s always a good idea to start with an empty loadout to avoid losing valuable items or weapons if you happen to die during the quest.
When you’re prepared to start working on Hatch Repairs, here’s how to locate and fix a Raider Hatch.
Where to find a Raider Hatch
To fix a Raider Hatch, you first need to locate one. The Dam Battlegrounds map has several, and the best one to go for depends on where you start the match. Here are four locations where you can find them. Choose the one nearest to your starting point – or wherever you happen to be exploring – and head there.

You can actually find the items needed for this quest on any map, since Raider Hatches appear everywhere. However, because this quest is given to you early on, we’re focusing on the Dam Battlegrounds locations in this guide. This map is available to all players right away, while others require you to play a certain number of matches before you can access them.
How to repair a Raider Hatch
When you find a Raider Hatch, you’ll need to fix it. It’s a simple process – just click on the yellow, glowing pipe sticking out of the hatch to start the repair.

Now that you’ve finished the Hatch Repairs quest, a small box will appear near the hatch containing a Raider Hatch Key. This key lets you escape through any Raider Hatch. You don’t need to use it right away – feel free to keep exploring! – but it’s a fast way to get back to Speranza when you’re ready.
