Arc Raiders players who enjoy exploring different areas will find the ‘Eyes in the Sky‘ quest particularly engaging. This quest requires you to travel to three unique maps and set up LiDAR Scanners. Completing it will test your abilities, require a bit of good fortune, and involve some skillful use of the zipline. Here’s a breakdown of what you need to know.

You don’t need any special extraction tools for the ‘Eyes in the Sky’ mission, meaning you can use any loadout you prefer for the Dam Battlegrounds and Spaceport areas. But, to reach the right location in Buried City, you’ll need a zipline, so make sure you equip one before heading there.

On Dam Battlegrounds, install a LiDAR Scanner at the top of the Control Tower

The very first LiDAR Scanner you install will probably be the hardest to get, as it’s located in a risky spot. You’ll need to go to the Control Tower – a popular and competitive area – right in the center of the Dam Battlegrounds map to complete this task.

This location is often full of players looking for a fight, and some will try to unlock the building’s doors. Be prepared to defend yourself – you might encounter some enemies on your way inside.

This location has several ways to enter, but coming from the south is one of the safest. Look for stairs on the side of the building and take them up to the main floor – you don’t need to go to the very top.

Run toward the door down the long outside hallway.

Once inside, head straight until you find a door you can open by force. It might already be open if someone else has gone through. If not, quickly break it down, but be careful – make sure no one is approaching from behind.

Once you open the door, you’ll see ziplines. Take the one that goes up, but first, look up and shoot any turrets attached to the walls. They can quickly defeat you if you start the zipline before destroying them.

If someone has already explored this area, you might not find any turrets. This could be helpful, or it could mean trouble. There’s a well-known key room upstairs, and whoever found it might have set up traps near the top of the zipline to warn them if anyone else comes along.

If you accidentally trigger a trap while exploring, quickly let others know you’re not hostile and are just on a mission to avoid trouble. However, be prepared to defend yourself if someone attacks. You might end up losing everything and having to start over, but if you’re lucky, you could defeat an enemy and find valuable rewards.

No matter what happens, don’t focus on the room to the right. Instead, continue down the hallway until you find a door at the top of the stairs that you can open. Once you do, you’ll be able to reach the roof of the Control Tower.

Go to the roof of the Control Tower. Walk straight ahead, but angle slightly to the left to find a tripod. When you see it, interact with it to place the LiDAR Scanner.

When you’re finished inside, use the zipline to come back down. Keep an eye out for enemies at the bottom – they might be waiting to ambush you, hoping to steal anything valuable you’ve collected. Be prepared for a possible fight.

On Spaceport, install a LiDAR Scanner at the Communications Tower

Please install the next LiDAR Scanner at the Communications Tower on the east side of Spaceport. This location is usually empty of other players, making it the easiest of the three to set up.

Once you get to the Communications Tower, just use the yellow ladder to climb up to the platform.

On this platform is another tripod you can interact with to place a LiDAR Scanner.

Head back down the ladder and extract when you’re ready to head back home.

On Buried City, install a LiDAR Scanner on top of the Galleria sign

To finish setting up the LiDAR Scanner, you’ll need to place it on top of the Galleria sign on the east side of Buried City. You’ll need a zipline to get up there. It’s a good idea to bring two ziplines, just in case the first one doesn’t attach correctly.

Approach the Galleria from the south.

Climb atop the square structures on the building just south of the Galleria.

Use the makeshift bridge up here to cross over to the Galleria rooftop.

Attach your zipline to the top part of the Galleria sign, like in the picture. If you attach it too low, for example to the railing, you’ll fall instead of reaching the platform.

Ride the zipline upwards, but be prepared to jump slightly when you reach the end to land safely. If you don’t jump, you could easily fly past the safety barrier and get hurt.

Okay, so when you get to the platform, definitely mess around with that tripod – it’s important! And while you’re up there, keep an eye out for a weapon case. They pop up pretty often, and you might get lucky with a really good gun!

When you’re finished with this mission and want to return home, simply go to any extraction point and travel back to Speranza.
