Arc Raiders Dormant Barons Quest Guide

As you progress through the Arc Raiders storyline, you’ll need to locate and scavenge a Baron Husk. The quest, called ‘Dormant Barons,’ might sound intimidating – those large Arc creatures are scary! – but these husks are from creatures that are already dead, so you don’t have to worry about a fight. Finding a Baron Husk can be time-consuming, though. Check out our guide below to learn exactly where to find them and how to loot their remains.

Where to find Baron Husks

Baron Husks are big, broken robots that appear in several areas of the game. The best place to find them is Dam Battlegrounds, which is the first map you unlock. There are three Baron Husks hidden on Dam Battlegrounds, and we’ve pinpointed their locations on the map below.

We suggest heading to one of the Baron Husks on the left side of the map. The one near the Breach is quite exposed and frequently patrolled by a Sentinel turret, so it’s best to play it safe.

Okay, so when you’re getting close to Baron Husk, listen for this deep, rumbling roar – that means no one’s broken it open yet! You’ll want to climb up onto the top of its round body. Luckily, you can use those broken legs around it to get up there. Once you’re on top, just look for the spot in the middle that you can interact with to actually breach it.

Okay, so here’s a tip I learned the hard way! When you finally break through the Baron Husk, it actually catches fire for a few seconds. You really want to jump back as soon as you breach it and just wait for the flames to die down. Then, and only then, can you climb back up and grab your loot from the middle of the husk. Trust me, you don’t want to get burned!

Baron Husks usually give you Arc Alloy, Arc Powercells, and similar items. However, once you’ve finished the Dormant Barons quest, most players will find it’s not worth the trouble to loot them, because you can get those materials more easily from other sources.
