ARC Raiders devs respond as streamers demand action against cheaters

The developers of ARC Raiders have addressed concerns raised by popular Twitch streamers like Ninja and Shroud about the game being plagued by cheaters. They’ve promised to make significant improvements to address the issue.

Cheating has always been a part of multiplayer gaming, but it’s become more complex recently. It used to be simple things like glancing at another player’s screen, but now it involves things like seeing through walls or becoming invincible, giving cheaters a significant edge.

ARC Raiders was a hugely popular game in late 2025, and for a while, it remained free of cheaters. But as of 2026, cheating has become a significant problem for both players and those who stream the game.

Popular streamer Shroud, formerly a professional Counter-Strike player, has started playing Escape from Tarkov, but is urging the game’s developers, Embark Studios, to address the growing problem of cheaters quickly – ideally within the next few weeks.

Shroud calls for “meaningful action” over ARC Raiders cheaters

“Embark has zero control over their game right now,” Shroud said during his January 5 stream.

I understand they were on vacation, so I’m willing to be patient. However, if we don’t see real improvement within the next week or two, there’s no reason to continue.

The Canadian streamer said it’s a “literal waste of our f**king time,” if no changes are made.

“whats the point of f*ckin playing?”

Ninja questions Embark over cheaters

I saw Ninja tweet at the Arc Raiders developers on X, asking where they were at. HutchMF had been asking the same thing, so it seems a lot of us are wondering what’s happening with the game!

Where are you @EmbarkStudios

Embark say patches are coming “soon”

Birdie, a community manager at Embark, addressed some Discord complaints by explaining, as Shroud also mentioned, that the development team was on holiday break.

I just heard back from the team, and they were actually on vacation! They said the fixes we’ve all been waiting for are coming – they promised we’ll see them soon. They’re aware of everything we’ve been discussing, like the problems with trigger nades, the Stitcher, and even the Kettle. It’s good to know they’re on top of it!

Hey everyone, I know a lot of us were really hoping to see an update for ARC Raiders today, and it’s frustrating when things don’t come when we expect them to. But CM Birdie just let us know we need to be patient and give the team a bit more time to polish things up. They’re working on the patches, and they’ll be here soon! Let’s give them the space to deliver a really solid update when they’re ready.

Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag, CEO of 100 Thieves, stated that the cheating in the game ARC Raiders is now significantly more prevalent than it ever was in Call of Duty.

The ex-Call of Duty player wants to see legal consequences for people and companies who create or use cheating programs.
