I’m really excited to see that Arc Raiders now has a duo mode! The developers at Embark Studios were smart to test it out first before letting everyone know how it works. It’s great they were so careful about getting it right for players like me!
The developers of Arc Raiders explained on their website that the duo matchmaking system isn’t perfect. The game tries to keep solo players and full squads separate, pairing duos with other duos and trios with other trios whenever possible. However, Embark Studio admits that you might occasionally end up playing with players who aren’t in the same type of group as you.
Based on player feedback, Embark will reduce the prices of certain cosmetic items in the store beginning November 13th. Players who already bought these items at the higher price will receive a refund for the price difference.
Embark has confirmed that the premium Raider Decks won’t give players an unfair advantage. These decks will only include cosmetic items and features that make the game more convenient, not things that guarantee victory. A free Raider Deck is available now, and both free and premium decks will be released in the future.
Arc Raiders has faced some criticism for using artificial intelligence to generate voices in the game. However, Junghun Lee, CEO of the game’s publisher, Nexon, recently explained that AI voices are becoming standard practice across the entire gaming industry.
As a big Arc Raiders fan, I was really glad to see Embark quickly addressed the server problems with some in-game goodies! And it’s awesome to hear the game got over 264,000 players on Steam before the new North Line update dropped – which, by the way, is live now! I’m excited to jump back in.
