In Arc Raiders, Lance often sends you on scavenging missions, and the “A New Type of Plant” quest is one of them. This time, you’ll need to find a potentially dangerous plant growing in the Old Battleground area of the Dam Battlegrounds map and return it to Lance back at Speranza.

To complete the “A New Type of Plant” quest, you’ll need to escape with something from the map. It’s best to prepare beforehand with gear you’re comfortable using, including a safe pocket for carrying it. Bring a good weapon – one effective against people is ideal – along with plenty of ammo and healing supplies, just in case you encounter enemies during your escape.

Where to find the Baron Husk

In A New Type of Plant, your first goal is to find Baron Husk. This large, damaged ARC is located in the Old Battleground area, on the western edge of the Dam Battlegrounds map. It’s easy to spot – a huge, metallic wreck that’s seen a lot of wear and tear.

This place isn’t usually crowded, but you should still watch out for other players who might attack. A quick warning – like saying ‘don’t shoot!’ – could be the difference between getting your reward and getting into a fight.

Where to find the toxic plant

Okay, so I’ve been farming around the Baron Husk and there are tons of those poisonous plants everywhere. They look a lot like the Great Mullein we collected for Lance, but these ones have really bright orange flowers, so they’re hard to miss. If you’re having trouble finding them, just search right next to the husk itself – you’ll usually find a bunch clustered around it. And don’t forget to actually loot them when you find them!

After you collect the poisonous plant, you need to leave the area. If you have an item with a secure storage space, put the plant inside to protect it from damage or loss. Then, go east towards the Central Swamp Lift. Be careful, as this area is often filled with ARC enemies and other players looking for items. Take your time and stay alert, and you’ll quickly return to Speranza to finish the quest with Lance.
