Arc Raiders missions can sometimes be complex, sending you all over the game world to finish tasks. Luckily, the “A Bad Feeling” quest is straightforward: you simply need to open either an Arc Probe or an Arc Courier. Where to find Arc Probes

Sometimes you’ll see Arc Probes descend from the sky—they might look like small rockets landing. When they touch down, they stand upright. However, most Arc Probes are found lying on their sides, so don’t be surprised if you see one that’s tipped over. Either way, you can usually hear them coming from quite a distance—listen for their strange beeping sounds that happen every few seconds.

Arc Probes appear randomly on all maps, but you’ll find many more during the Electromagnetic Storm event. A good place to look is on the roof of the Testing Annex on the Dam Battlegrounds map – you can often find 2 or 3 there at once. This is a fast way to earn points, especially if you’re trying to complete the weekly Open Arc Probes trial.

You can also watch for the “Prospecting Probes” event when choosing a map. It appears randomly on all maps except Stella Montis, and you’ll know it’s happening when you see a notification while hovering over the map. When active, you’ll find lots of Arc Probes scattered around, making it easy to collect enough.

Arc Probes often contain useful materials like Arc Alloy, Arc Circuitry, and Arc Motion Cores, which are essential for crafting. If you enjoy crafting your gear, it’s worth opening these probes. Otherwise, the items inside probably won’t be very valuable.

Where to find Arc Couriers

Arc Couriers, similar to Arc Probes, appear in random locations across the map and are marked by black smoke. They’re also generally easier to locate during an Electromagnetic Storm event. We’ve found them frequently in the Red Lakes area on the eastern side of the Dam Battlegrounds, though their exact locations change each time.

Arc Couriers can also contain useful items that help you advance in the game. Pay close attention to Surveyor Vaults and Sentinel Firing Cores when you open them, as you’ll need these to build certain workbenches. While you can also get these items by defeating Surveyors or Sentinels, those enemies are rare on each map. Because of this, opening Arc Couriers might be a faster way to collect them than fighting enemies.

Breaking open these containers can sometimes cause a swarm of Arc enemies, like hornets or wasps, to suddenly appear.
