ARC Raiders features plenty of loot to collect, but finding it all while exploring can be tricky. While some items are easy to spot, it’s always smart to consider your best approach.
This extraction shooter is seriously dangerous. You’ll face threats like ARC drones and other players, and even a small mistake can ruin your attempt if you’re not cautious.
This list highlights the best places to find reliable loot, and how likely you are to survive your visit. I’ll also give you an idea of how dangerous each location is.
9. Pale Apartments

Pale Apartments is located on the outskirts of the Dam Battlegrounds, but it’s a surprisingly good place to find loot. The multi-story building is filled with containers that often hold useful items or things you can sell.
This spot is generally quite safe. When you first arrive here, you’ll typically be by yourself, making it easy to gather supplies. However, I wouldn’t suggest starting here, as other locations offer better initial loot.
As a player, I’ve noticed you’re much more likely to find door keys while looting houses and buildings in residential areas. It’s definitely the best place to search if you need one!
8. Electrical Substation
The Electrical Substation, a bit further inland than where we were before, is a great place to find electrical supplies. It’s a good first stop if you need that kind of gear, and it’s conveniently located closer to the center of the map.
Okay, so this spot’s a little riskier than others, but it’s worth it because it lets you get to areas with better loot. If I have to pass through here, I always make sure to take some time and search around – it’s usually full of good stuff!
7. Primary Facility
The Primary Facility is located right in the center of the map, making it a risky but rewarding place to explore for valuable items. Because it’s a large underground complex, the main threats you’ll encounter are Pops and Burners.
This location offers a lot of containers to search, though the loot itself is usually just average. You’re likely to find something useful, especially in the Mechanical or Industrial categories. Be aware it’s very echoey, making it easy to hear approaching Raiders.
6. Old Battleground
The Old Battleground might seem like a surprising location to rank highly, but that’s exactly what makes it good. You can consistently find a Baron Husk to defeat and loot, and there are typically several ARC drones that can be hacked and salvaged.
The area is full of small metal structures you can use for cover while avoiding other Raiders or ARCs. It’s also a good place to find loot with a lower risk of being attacked.
5. Water Treatment Control
While the best loot is usually found in the more challenging areas, Water Treatment Control consistently ranks as one of the worst spots. This is mainly because you need the Dam Surveillance Key to reach the really valuable items inside.
I frequently encounter other players here. It’s a popular spot, and while you can find a lot of valuable items, it can also be more dangerous than expected.
4. Hydroponic Dome Complex
This area, while intended for good loot, isn’t very rewarding because there aren’t many places to search. The main building has a lot of supplies, with plenty of containers to open and items to collect, but it’s essentially the only significant structure there.
Honestly, the ceiling’s a wreck in there, which means those ARC drones spot you almost instantly if they fly over. I usually avoid the place if I can, because it’s more hassle than it’s worth. I only go through if I absolutely have to.
3. Testing Annex
There’s a really good spot for finding loot in the middle of the map, and it’s even better if you happen to spawn close by. If you have the Testing Annex Key, you can get extra loot, but even without it, you’re likely to find some valuable items there.
This location is good for finding both commercial and medical supplies, making it a useful first stop to get equipped. It’s usually possible to avoid other people here thanks to the building’s many rooms.
2. Control Tower/Research and Administration
The Control Tower is a challenging area with valuable loot, so be prepared for a tough fight. However, it’s always worth exploring because there are plenty of containers and items to find.
Many players seem to target the Control Tower, likely due to the key it holds. While it’s a risky spot, it’s a good place to find valuable Technology and Security items.
I particularly like the Research and Administration building. The zipline that takes you up to the loot area can be easily blocked by opponents using mines or other objects.
You can find really good loot, and there’s a medical room to restock on supplies. Sometimes enemies like Pops and Burners appear, but they’re generally not a big threat.
1. Power Generation Complex
Okay, so I’ve finally found the best place to farm for good stuff consistently! It’s the Power Generation Complex, and honestly, it’s massive. It’s kind of built like the Control Tower or the Research & Administration building – it’s really a bunch of areas all connected, with the Generator Hall being a huge part of it.
The Power Generation Complex is largely defined by its upper levels, which are filled with complex machinery you can navigate and break. Its many hiding spots and plenty of cover mean you can easily find safety, even if you encounter enemies.
If you reach the Generator Hall, you’ll find a lot of valuable Electrical and Industrial supplies. I haven’t seen many Raiders there, so it’s usually a safe spot. Plus, being indoors protects you from any airborne threats that might be flying around outside.
These spots are useful whether you’re heading out for a typical mission or attempting a Night Raid. Keep in mind that where you start can affect which locations are best, and while the ARC are a threat, other Raiders can be just as dangerous.
