Fans of mystery shows like Netflix’s The Perfect Couple (which is coming back for a second season) and series with strong female leads, such as Peacock’s Ponies, will likely enjoy Apple TV’s new show, Imperfect Women. Starring Elisabeth Moss, Kerry Washington, Kate Mara, Joel Kinnaman, and Corey Stoll, the series revolves around a shocking crime that dramatically impacts a close group of friends.
Based on Araminta Hall’s novel and adapted for television by Annie Weisman (known for shows like Physical and Based on a True Story), Imperfect Women is a gripping series that will keep you on the edge of your seat and eager to see what happens next.
‘Imperfect Women’ is Filled With Twists

Apple TV
The first two episodes of Imperfect Women will be available on Apple TV starting Wednesday, March 18, 2026, with new episodes released each week until April 29, 2026. This miniseries follows three lifelong friends as they navigate the ups and downs of their careers, families, and personal lives. Each woman harbors secrets and faces her own unique struggles, both individually and as a group. As revealed in the trailer, when one of them unexpectedly dies, the strength of their friendship will be put to the test.
The series unfolds with unexpected twists as the story is revealed through the eyes of different characters. Mary, played by Moss, is a mother and wife who paused her career to focus on her family. Her husband, Howard (Stoll), is a professor struggling with professional disappointments. Eleanor (Washington) leads a charity and is a fiercely independent single woman without any major romantic commitments. Nancy (Mara) is married to Robert (Kinnaman), who comes from wealth, and she lives the life of a socialite, balancing volunteer work with hosting elaborate parties and serving on numerous committees at their large home.
The series starts with a shocking event, immediately pulling you into the mystery of who committed the crime and why. Each episode reveals new details about the lives of the three central women and the people connected to them. Just when you think you’ve figured out the killer, the show throws you off track. This approach – using a mix of clues, red herrings, and subtle hints – has been successful in other shows, and it works brilliantly here.
You’ll Be Hooked on ‘Imperfect Women’
After watching the first couple of episodes of Imperfect Women, one of Apple TV+’s standout new series, you’ll quickly become invested. The show features interesting and relatable characters, and while it initially appears simple, it delves into complex issues like guilt, love, betrayal, and past trauma.
The show features a strong supporting cast – including Sandrine Holt, Ana Ortiz, Keith Carradine, and Leslie Odom Jr. – whose characters become increasingly important to the story. It’s a compelling series, potentially even better than The Perfect Couple (which received mixed reactions), and stands alongside highly acclaimed shows like All Her Fault. With a talented cast delivering emotional performances and plenty of unexpected twists, you’ll find yourself completely hooked.

Okay, so I just finished watching Imperfect Women, and wow, it’s seriously good. It’s one of those crime thrillers that really makes you think – it digs into some pretty heavy stuff about what’s right and wrong, and how far people will go for their friends. Plus, the cast is phenomenal! Seeing those three leading ladies together is amazing, and they’re backed up by two fantastic actors I already love. It’s dark, it’s got some heat, and the plot just keeps twisting and turning. Honestly, if you’re looking for a show to get completely hooked on – a real guilty pleasure – you absolutely need to check this one out.
