As a movie buff with a penchant for dystopian sci-fi and a soft spot for gripping documentaries, I can hardly contain my excitement! The trailer for “Silo” Season 2, premiering on Apple TV+, promises an intriguing blend of mystery, suspense, and high-stakes drama. With Rebecca Ferguson at the helm and a stellar supporting cast including Steve Zahn, Tim Robbins, Common, and more, this series is shaping up to be a must-watch.
Apple TV+ has unveiled the trailer for the upcoming second season of “Silo.” Adapted from Hugh Howey’s trio of dystopian sci-fi novels, the new episodes will start airing on November 15, with weekly releases every Friday until January 17.
The plot of ‘Silo’ revolves around the lives of the last 10,000 people alive, who reside in a massive subterranean structure for protection against a poisonous and lethal world above. Yet, the origins and reasons behind the construction of this silo remain unknown, and those who dare to uncover these secrets meet with fatal repercussions. Rebecca Ferguson portrays Juliette, an engineer who becomes embroiled in a quest for truth after the murder of someone dear to her. As she delves deeper into the mystery, she uncovers secrets that surpass anything she could have imagined, ultimately revealing that while lies might not kill you, the truth certainly will.
Actor Steve Zahn has been added to the main cast for Season 2, joining the already stellar lineup that includes Ferguson, Tim Robbins, Common, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, Alexandria Riley, Shane McRae, Remmie Milner, Clare Perkins, Billy Postlethwaite, Rick Gomez, Caitlin Zoz, Tanya Moodie and Iain Glen.
The TV series titled “Silo” is developed by Apple Studios (a division of Apple), with Graham Yost serving as both the creator and showrunner. This production is also overseen by Michael Dinner, Nina Jack, Joanna Thapa, Ferguson, Morten Tyldum, Howey, Fred Golan, Rémi Aubuchon, and AMC Studios.

FIRST LOOKS/TRAILERS
Point Road Productions’ documentary, originally known as “Nothing But Net,” is set to debut as “The Last Amateur” at the Doc LA event on October 19th.
This documentary, as stated in its official description, spotlights NBA legend Kevin Garnett and college basketball commentator Jay Bilas, who lead us through the life journey of Silvio De Sousa, a 5-star University of Kansas basketball recruit from Angola. As a foreign Black man, De Sousa navigates the complexities of NCAA college basketball and the U.S. legal system. De Sousa was one of the last student athletes to face punishment for receiving funds from Adidas before the introduction of Name Image and Likeness rules. The FBI investigation into this ‘pay for play’ scheme brought about more issues, both on and off the court. De Sousa has faced criticism from the public and social media, but he persists in his efforts to clear his name and return to the sport he cherishes.
Billy Raftery takes on multiple roles in the project as director, scriptwriter, cameraman, and producer. The executive producers for this production are Kevin Garnett, John Sloss, Marc Levin, Mike Marangu, Todd Stiefel, Taylor Materne, Josh Foster, Anthony Killough, and Reuben Schatz.
