Antony Starr to Lead New Netflix Series ‘Breakers’ After ‘The Boys’ Stardom

So, The Boys is wrapping up after its fifth season this April, which is a bit sad, but thankfully we won’t be seeing the last of Antony Starr anytime soon! He’s already jumped into a new thriller for Netflix, called Breakers, and he’s not just acting – he’s also an executive producer. They’re filming down in Australia right now, and should be finished by June, just after we find out what happens in the epic finale of The Boys and what fate awaits Homelander. It’s good to know he’s staying busy!

According to Netflix, Adria Arjona is the first actor confirmed for the surfing drama Breakers, where she’ll play a character named Brando. The story follows two best friends backpacking in Australia who stumble upon a seemingly idyllic surfing community led by an enigmatic leader. However, the plot hints at hidden dangers, suggesting the friends will face trouble as they become more involved in this world.

I just got the scoop on Breakers, and it’s shaping up to be something special. It comes from Pete Jackson, the talent behind Somewhere Boy, and the same production company, Clerkenwell Films, that brought us the incredibly gripping Baby Reindeer. Mary Nighy and Ng Choon Ping are directing, adding some serious directorial weight. As for producing, it’s a solid team with Gavin O’Grady, Petra Fried, and Wim De Greef joining Jackson and Starr. Speaking of Starr, this is his second producing gig after his work on The Boys, which he’s wrapping up this year – definitely someone to watch!
