Beyond and the sudden appearance of Donkey Bananza DLC.
Hades 2 has a 1.0 and console release date, September 25th, 2025
As a diehard fan, I’ve got to say that the anticipation for Hades 2 has been through the roof ever since its Early Access debut on Steam last year. Now, with more than 36,000 reviews and a staggering 96% positive rating on Steam, it’s not hard to see why. Frankly, such accolades are unusual even for fully released games, let alone one still in Early Access, often shunned by players due to principle. With its official launch just weeks away, there’s no denying that Hades 2 is set to make a massive impact when it hits the gaming scene!
In the same universe as “Hades 1”, the sequel, titled “Hades 2“, unfolds. Instead of following the original protagonist, you’ll be controlling Melnioe, the younger sister from the first game. This time around, the story extends beyond the underworld and culminates in a battle against Chronos, the Titan of Time. As Melnioe, you’ll employ a mix of witchcraft and melee combat to navigate through various dungeons.
The trailer for today kicked off with a lengthy animated introduction that left many viewers enchanted, as evidenced by a YouTube comment stating, “I’d go to great lengths for an animated Hades series with that aesthetic.” Supergiant Games, known for their consistent indie game development, are now embarking on their first sequel. It’s always thrilling to witness an independent team achieving such significant success, and I can hardly wait until later this month when _Hades 2_ officially moves beyond Early Access.
