A frustrating miniboss in Hades 2 is now a little more manageable following the first update for the popular roguelike game.
Hades 2 launched late in September, which was already a busy month for new games that people were excited about. Supergiant Games’ newest game was a great way to finish the month, and it quickly received positive feedback from gamers and reviewers alike.
Despite being in Early Access for over a year, Hades 2 still had a few issues. Fortunately, the developers at Supergiant Games quickly addressed them, releasing the first Hades 2 hotfix only a week after the game officially launched.

This update provides a fast solution to some pressing issues. Besides small improvements and language support updates, it resolves multiple crashes and corrects problems with a few achievements. The update also addresses gameplay errors, such as the Gorgon’s Amulet incorrectly duplicating the effects of a different item.
As a fan, I was really getting annoyed by this one enemy! There’s this specter in a specific area that drains your health, and it was *especially* tough if you used familiars. Basically, Melinoe’s helpers were just becoming easy targets – a free health source for the miniboss! Thankfully, the developers listened and fixed it – player minions are now immune to that specter’s life-draining attack. It’s such a relief, and makes playing with familiars so much more enjoyable now!
