Anno 117 does not have a classic finale. You man not even notice that the story has ended

The campaign in Anno 117 is mostly designed to teach you how the game works. It guides you through a series of tasks in a set order across different chapters and sections. However, things change quite suddenly in the third section, which can be disorienting if you’re not expecting it. This guide will walk you through the ending of the Anno 117 campaign.

What is the structure of the campaign?

The campaign in Anno 117 is structured around a series of acts. It begins with managing the city of Juliana in the Latium province until the new emperor, Calidus, forces you into exile. The second act takes place in the distant province of Albion, where you must deal with a military conflict against the local Celts and their leader, Voada. Once you’ve either defeated Voada in battle or secured peace through diplomacy by completing three missions, Emperor Calidus will permit your return to Latium, bringing the campaign to a close.

  1. Which hero to choose in Anno 117? Your decision determines what story you get

So, I finally made it back to Latium! Things are looking up – I got a huge triumph ceremony and rescued Juliana. Now I’m getting a private meeting with the emperor, and he’s letting me pick a reward. I can choose a really awesome warship, a ton of cash – like, 100,000 denarii – or get my advisor, Ben-Baalion, released from captivity. Honestly, freeing Ben-Baalion won’t give me anything extra, but he’ll stick around if I do, and I definitely want him on my side.

Once you receive the award, you might notice that new story quests stop appearing. This can be confusing, but it doesn’t mean the game is broken – the story is actually finished! The war with Voada was the final challenge, and winning it marked the end of the campaign. There isn’t a third act planned, so after finishing the second act, the game automatically switches to a free-play mode where you can do whatever you want. This also means some storylines from earlier in the game, like what happens to the family of the previous emperor, won’t be resolved. You can continue playing your current game, complete side quests for other leaders, or start a new game in free play mode.
