Annapurna Interactive had a busy Tokyo Game Show, unveiling three new games. They’re publishing a diverse lineup, including a unique puzzle game set in a surprisingly comfortable dystopian world, a turn-based RPG with musical elements, and a game that strongly resembles a new Legend of Zelda title. Here’s a look at each of them.
D-topia
D-Topia is a puzzle game where you play as a ‘Facilitator’ at the D-topia residential facility. You’ll be dealing with residents’ issues while also discovering a hidden secret about the AI-controlled society. The game’s seemingly perfect world is actually a cover-up, and it’s your job to reveal the truth. Developed by Marumittu Games, D-Topia is scheduled for release on PC, Switch, Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox in 2026.
People of Note
People of Note is a unique game that blends music with the strategy of turn-based RPGs – a perfect match for TopMob’s Jordan Ramee! The game’s story and battles are built around music, letting players control a diverse cast of characters who can both sing powerfully and fight effectively. Developed by Iridium Studios, People of Note is scheduled to release on PC, Xbox, and PS5 in 2026.
Demi and the Fractured Dream
Zelda fans should definitely keep an eye out for Demi and the Fractured Dream. This action-adventure game stars Demi, who’s trying to break free from a predetermined fate in a world called Somnus. It’s inspired by classic games of the genre, featuring fast-paced combat, puzzles built into the environment, and a strong focus on story and world-building. Developed by Yarn Owl, Demi is scheduled to release on PC, Switch, Switch 2, Xbox, and PlayStation 5 in 2026.
Annapurna Interactive was at Tokyo Game Show for the first time, and as usual, they announced a bunch of games I immediately added to my wishlist. If you’re interested in more from the show, you can also read about the interesting comments Hideo Kojima made about his new Xbox game, OD.
