A significant new update (version 3.0) for Animal Crossing: New Horizons has arrived sooner than anticipated, adding several improvements to the beloved game before its release on the new Switch 2 console on January 15th. If you haven’t played in a while, your Switch will likely ask you to update the game automatically. You can also manually check for updates by pressing the “+” button on the game icon and choosing “Software Update”.
While official details are still coming, Nintendo has shared what’s new in the 3.0 update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. You can now send villagers to the Slumber Islands for a relaxing getaway, visit the new Resort Hotel, and meet Tom Bell, who has a plan to help you earn more Bells.
As a huge Animal Crossing fan, I’m so excited about the latest update! They’ve seriously upped the storage space, which is a lifesaver. Plus, there are new Nintendo goodies to buy, and Resetti now offers a service where he can help you get rid of tons of stuff on your island at once – flowers, furniture, everything! And get this – they’re doing collaborations with Splatoon, Zelda, and even Lego! It’s going to be amazing!
Owners of Switch 2 can improve their gaming experience even more with the $5 Upgrade Pack. This pack includes helpful enhancements like better graphics whether you’re playing on your TV or in handheld mode, quicker loading screens, mouse support when using Joy-Con 2, and compatibility with GameChat and Camera Play during online gameplay.
