Animal Crossing: New Horizons 3.0 – All Zelda And Splatoon Items Unlocked With Amiibos

Although the recent free update to Animal Crossing: New Horizons includes a lot of free content, some items and villagers can only be unlocked by using Amiibo figures. Specifically, the special collaborations with The Legend of Zelda and Splatoon require players to have at least three compatible Amiibo to get everything offered.

Generally, using any Zelda Amiibo figure will unlock all the items related to Zelda, and any Splatoon Amiibo will unlock all Splatoon items. You scan these figures at the Nook Stop, and then the items become available in the Nook Shopping catalog. The only things that need specific Amiibo figures are the villagers you can invite to your island.

All Legend Of Zelda Collaboration Items And Villagers

Items Unlocked By Amiibo To Be Purchased From Nook Shopping

Once you scan a compatible Amiibo, either Tulin or Mineru will visit your island’s campsite. This will unlock all the special items from the Zelda collaboration in the Nook Shopping catalog, where you can buy them with Bells – so make sure you’ve saved up!

You’ll need to remember that Nook Shopping limits you to five purchases each day, and this Zelda set has many pieces. Because of this, collecting the entire set will take multiple days and cost several thousand Bells.

All Splatoon Collaboration Items And Villagers

Items Unlocked By Amiibo To Be Purchased From Nook Shopping

Just like with Zelda Amiibo, scanning a compatible Splatoon Amiibo will invite either Cece or Viche to visit your campsite in Animal Crossing. It will also unlock all Splatoonthemed items in the Nook Shopping catalog. These two villagers have actually appeared in previous Animal Crossing* games before.

I was so excited to see Cece and Viche return! They were in Animal Crossing: New Leaf before, but they’ve totally changed their styles. It’s so cute – they’re clearly into cosplay! Last time, Cece was dressed like Callie from Splatoon and Viche looked like Marie. Now, they’ve updated their looks to match Shiver and Frye! It’s a fun nod to the game and I love the attention to detail.
