Many consider The Traitors to be one of the best reality shows currently airing, and viewers with a Peacock subscription have been enjoying the drama of Season 4. In the latest episode, actor Michael Rapaport was surprisingly eliminated – even though no one suspected him of being a Traitor. Now, Andy Cohen, the head of Bravo, has shared his thoughts on the Housewives enthusiast’s run on the award-winning competition.
The announcement of Michael Rapaport joining the cast of The Traitors Season 4 sparked immediate criticism. His behavior on the show quickly became a talking point – videos of his eating went viral, and his final argument with Colton Underwood was particularly memorable. Andy Cohen recently discussed Rapaport’s already controversial time on the show with Entertainment Weekly, explaining his perspective on the situation.
Michael Rapaport has always been known for creating drama and being outspoken. I wasn’t surprised to see that side of him on the show – it’s just his personality. As a reality TV producer, I actually found him to be a fun and engaging addition to the cast.
Let me tell you, this guy knows how to create a moment. If you’ve seen Keirnan Shipka, best known from Atypical on Netflix, on Watch What Happens Live!, you quickly realize he’s not afraid to speak his mind. Seriously, that takedown of Kenya Moore from Real Housewives of Atlanta – “You wish you were me!” – went absolutely viral. Now, his strategy on The Traitors wasn’t exactly genius, but as someone who works in reality TV, I have to admit he brought a lot of much-needed drama to Alan Cumming’s castle. He’s a performer, and he knows it.

You can watch The Traitors exclusively on Peacock, with plans starting at $7.99 per month or $79.99 per year. For an ad-free experience and the ability to download shows and movies to watch offline, consider upgrading to Peacock Premium or Peacock Premium Plus. See the deal here.
Rapaport created a lot of conflict, which ultimately hurt his performance in the game. Andy Cohen discussed this in an interview, explaining how Rapaport was eliminated even though the other players didn’t believe he was one of the ‘traitors’. He continued by saying:
I told him, ‘You’re the first Faithful player ever voted out on The Traitors. Everyone knew you were one of the good guys, but they just found you irritating.’ It really shows how much everyone disliked playing with him.
Michael Rapaport definitely left his mark on Season 4 of Traitors, for better or worse. Now that he’s been eliminated, it’ll be interesting to see if the remaining ‘Faithful’ players can successfully identify the three ‘Traitors’ still hiding among them. Regardless, expect the 55-year-old actor to bring plenty of drama to the Season 4 reunion.
You can watch new episodes of The Traitors on Peacock every Thursday as part of the 2026 season. With several episodes still to go in Season 4, expect plenty of surprises before the finale on February 26th.
