American Film Market Returns to Los Angeles for 46th Edition

The American Film Market is coming back to Los Angeles for its 46th event, happening from November 11 to 16 at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Century City.

Jean M. Prewitt and Clay Epstein, CEO and chairperson of the Independent Film and Television Alliance (AFM organizers), stated that coming back to LA following the destructive fires carries a special meaning. They are looking forward to reuniting with their colleagues in the city where AFM began, and by doing so, they hope to contribute to the rebuilding efforts of our industry’s crucial center.

This year’s event is being held back in Los Angeles, having been previously hosted in Las Vegas last year. The change of venue was not popular among attendees, who found themselves venturing away from their homes in LA, to face costly accommodations and a less-than-enthusiastic market for buyers.

The event is coming back to Los Angeles this year, after it was held in Las Vegas last year. Many attendees didn’t like the change, as they had to travel from LA, faced expensive hotels, and found the market for buying things not very exciting.

Prewitt and Epstein noted that your feedback emphasized the significance of AFM as a meeting place, and Los Angeles as the ideal choice. They stated that the Fairmont provides the location which best suits your desire for a sophisticated setting that offers both ease of access and fosters productivity.

From 1991 to 2023, AFM resided at the Loews Hotel in Santa Monica, but then relocated to the Le Meridian Delfina. However, this location fell short of expectations for regular AFM attendees, leading to its move to Las Vegas’ Palms Casino Resort in 2024.

More specifics about registration, exhibitions, and the schedule for this event are set to be revealed within the upcoming weeks.
