Amazon Is Overhauling Its Luna Gaming Service, Here’s What’s Changing

So, I’ve been using Amazon‘s Luna cloud gaming for a few years now – it’s been included with my Prime membership, which is awesome because I can stream games directly to my PC or TV without paying anything extra. Today, Amazon announced they’re really stepping things up! They’re planning a big overhaul of the Luna experience, adding some cool new social features and a ton of new games later this year. I’m really excited to see what they come up with!

The biggest new feature of the Luna redesign is called GameNight. It’s a collection of games designed for multiplayer fun, and you’ll control them using your cell phone. The lineup includes digital versions of classic board games such as Taboo and Clue, popular party games like Exploding Kittens, and brand new titles like Courtroom Chaos: Starring Snoop Dogg. In Courtroom Chaos, players try to persuade Judge Snoop Dogg to side with them by telling stories and blaming their opponents.

The upcoming update will expand the game library available on Luna, adding titles like Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, and Dave the Diver. Luna Premium members will have access to an even wider selection, including Lego DC Super-Villains, Team Sonic Racing, Batman: Arkham Knight, and many more. This provides greater value for subscribers.

Amazon Luna officially became available in March 2022, after an initial testing phase-a “soft launch”-that started in October 2020. People with a subscription can play games on tablets, smartphones, PCs, and smart TVs. They can use any game controller that connects via Bluetooth. Amazon also released a special Luna controller just before the October 2020 soft launch.
