Wow, New York Comic Con 2025 is officially happening! It kicked off at the Javits Center on October 9th and runs through the 12th. I’ve already seen some cool trailers – they dropped a first look at the more fun and lighthearted *Game of Thrones* spin-off, *A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms*, and a new movie starring Chris Pratt called *Mercy*. And there’s supposed to be even more coming! I’m putting all the trailers released so far from NYCC right here for you.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms

The upcoming *Game of Thrones* spinoff, *A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms*, is based on stories by *Game of Thrones* author George R.R. Martin. The trailer suggests this might be the first truly comedic installment in the *Game of Thrones* universe. Starring Peter Claffey as Sir Duncan the Tall and Dexter Sol Ansell as his squire, Egg, the series takes place a century before the original *Game of Thrones*, but after *House of the Dragon*. A humorous exchange in the teaser shows Sir Duncan threatening to hunt down anyone who robs him with dogs, to which Egg replies, “You don’t have dogs!” The HBO series will premiere on January 18, 2026, bringing viewers back to Westeros.

The trailer for Chris Pratt’s new sci-fi thriller shows him desperately trying to prove his innocence after being accused of his wife’s murder. He plays Detective Chris Raven, the creator of an AI named Mercy, which is now used by courts to decide if people are guilty. With only 90 minutes to clear his name, things go wrong when the AI malfunctions. Pratt confronts Mercy, portrayed by Rebecca Ferguson of *Dune*, revealing the situation isn’t about the murder, but their connection. The film is scheduled for release on January 23, 2026, assuming AI hasn’t taken over by then.
