Jotunnslayer: Hordes from Hel” – A Thrilling Roguelike Shoot ’em Up Game
Description: Experience a fun blend of roguelike and bullet hell gaming with Jotunnslayer: Hordes from Hel. This exciting game combines engaging mechanics similar to Death Must Die and Vampire Survivor, offering diverse characters, enemies, and hazards that appear at set intervals (spawn time). Here’s a rundown of the elements in this guide.
Jotunnslayer Hordes of Hel – Item and Monster Spawn Times
The list provided below indicates when specific elements in Jotunnslayer emerge, such as Treasure Chests, Cannons, Elites, and more. Remember that these timings are based on the Insane Difficulty, which has a total raid duration of 20 minutes. However, you might notice similar timings with some differences in other difficulty settings as well.
Items and Monsters | Spawn Time in minutes of the match counter |
---|---|
Treasure Chest | 18:00, 15:00, 11:10, 8:00, 5:20, 3:00 |
Healing Pool | 13:00, 7:00, 2:00 |
Fortify Pool | 4:00 in Niflheim and 5:30 on Muspelheim |
Cannon | Every 2 minutes from 18:55 until 4:00 (in Muspelheim only) |
Golden Imp | 17:30, 15:00, 12:10, 6:00, 4:00, 3:12, 1:40, 1:15 |
Elite Monster | 12:20, 7:15, 5:00, 4:00, 3:00, 2:20, 1:20 |
It’s noticeable that certain items’ appearance times fluctuate based on the game map you’re currently in. Moreover, Treasure Chests obtained from Elite Monsters in Niflheim might contain unique, lasting enhancements. In contrast, chests acquired by defeating them in Muspelheim provide temporary common upgrades instead.
Keep a close watch on the minimap to spot Treasure Chests (as shown in the first picture), which offer you temporary, potent abilities such as healing, enhanced attack, speed boost, magnet, and many others. Additionally, be on the lookout for Health Fountains, rarer spawns that instantly restore your maximum HP when utilized. Identify them by the cross symbol on the map (as shown in the second image).
In more challenging modes, cannons frequently appear (approximately every two minutes) and persistently fire at your position until you eliminate them. Keep tabs on their location by observing the red crosshair marker on the map and take them out, a task that’s relatively straightforward as they don’t have much vitality.
The Golden Gargoyle takes flight when you attempt to attack it. It doesn’t counter-attack, but instead, you must pursue and eliminate it to claim the loot – numerous gold coins. These can be spotted on the map by the winged gold icon. Notably, defeating 50 of these creatures will unlock the Spoils of the West trophy.
Distinctive Foes boast larger health pools than typical minor adversaries, but they can inflict more harm than a multitude of those foes combined. Their health is indicated by a red bar, as demonstrated in the images provided. To defeat them effortlessly, evade their attacks by keeping clear of the designated flaming area.
