In the live finale of Destiny 2’s Episode “Heresy,” players can expect numerous updates. The modifications made to subclasses mean that crafting optimal Destiny 2 builds requires fresh strategies. However, what good is an excellent build without exciting new weapons to utilize alongside it? We’ve compiled a comprehensive list of all the newly added firearms in Destiny 2 for “Heresy.
Destiny 2 Heresy Exotics
Lodestar
This unique Arc Trace Rifle emits a faint Starlight Beam with increased stability and precision. Aligning the weapon’s battery coils with any Arc damage source is possible, and when fully aligned, press the additional fire button to deactivate the safety. This allows you to hip-fire the Starlight Beam, temporarily stunning targets that have been harmed for a brief period. You can prolong the battery drain by looking through the weapon’s scope. This fresh Exotic is available in the season pass, and its Arc power makes it an ideal match for the recent Arc updates across all classes.
Finality’s Auger
The Solar Linear Fusion Rifle you acquire upon finishing the Sundered Doctrine raid is an Exotic. Its perk, Ruinscribe’s Forge, enables you to press and hold a specific weapon action button to launch a special projectile that sets up a Ruinscribe Turret. This maneuver consumes three ammo and can be aimed skyward for optimal visibility of enemy locations. The turret autonomously attacks nearby adversaries. Concurrently, Finality’s Auger marks targets with its laser blasts, causing the turret to prioritize these tagged enemies, discharging stronger rounds at them. You can toggle the laser fire mode on or off using the alternate weapon action button. Although it isn’t currently visible in-game, you can anticipate seeing this weapon after your first completion of the new dungeon.
Barrow-Dyad
Among the captivating weapons in Destiny 2 so far, Barrow-Dyad remains shrouded in mystery. Unveiled during Bungie’s Heresy broadcast, this weapon appears to be a potent Strand Submachine Gun with an intriguing ability called Panic Response. This feature causes it to generate Blight when damaging enemies. The Blight gradually depletes when the weapon isn’t firing, but the magazine is automatically refilled. Manual reloading transforms the stored Blight into Blighted Seekers that pursue enemies, dealing Strand damage as they bounce between multiple targets. Another perk, Taken Divergence, amplifies Blight production significantly when you hit three or more targets rapidly. Although we’re not sure how to obtain this weapon yet, it seems likely that it will appear during one of the missions associated with Heresy’s Exotic questline.
Destiny 2 Heresy seasonal weapons
There are four new weapons available to get through Heresy Act 1’s seasonal activity, The Nether.
Adamantite
The Adamantite is a Strand Auto Rifle with unique abilities: it can aid teammates by healing them while simultaneously harming enemies. When you fire at targets, you accumulate a restorative charge which can be activated to heal an ally when fired from the hip. This rapid healing also enhances your ally’s weapon damage. Furthermore, additional Unraveling projectiles are produced that home in on nearby adversaries, causing them injury.

Psychopomp
Among the intriguing titles for the latest armament, Psychopomp is a burst-firing Arc Grenade Launcher.
