The eighth episode of Alien: Earth will reveal the terrifying appearance of a new creature, potentially more frightening than the aliens fans already know and fear.
The Xenomorph is widely considered one of the most terrifying and powerful creatures in fictional storytelling. As the character Ash famously described in the movie *Alien*, it’s a flawlessly designed organism, and its incredible strength is only surpassed by its aggressive nature.
However, other creatures featured on the show have been just as fascinating, like the fly that digests food externally, a huge tick, and the tiny eye midge.
Another creature, the plant pod – or D. Plumbicare – hasn’t been a major problem so far. However, the latest trailer suggests that’s about to change in the finale.
Alien: Earth Episode 8 trailer reveals glimpse of flora’s true form
The trailer for Episode 7 shows more of what viewers can anticipate: glimpses of Wendy’s alien creature moving around, Kirsh aiming his weapon (likely at Morrow), and Wendy suggesting that people should fear her and her allies, instead of Boy Kavalier’s group being afraid of them.
If you watch the video and go to the 15-second mark, you can spot something moving in the background. It resembles an octopus, and some viewers think it might actually be the real appearance of the plant pod everyone has been waiting to see.
One viewer noticed something strange at the 0:15 mark, suggesting the creature on the wall seemed too large to be the Xenomorph. They think it might be a monster emerging from the plant. Another viewer commented that the plant’s movements resembled those of a giant octopus.
One person speculated that the plant extends and moves by stretching out, almost like it’s crawling. They believe it then retracts and folds back into the original plant shape we initially observed.
Kirsh warned us, the Lost Boys, that this thing… well, it *looks* like plants, but don’t be fooled! He said it might actually be some kind of creature, alive and moving. It’s seriously messing with my head – how can you tell the difference?
According to its show file, the science officer has made a preliminary classification of D. Plumbicare based on its unique hunting methods: it uses colorful feathers to attract prey, a pollen-covered stalk to detect them, and leaf-like structures that actually form a mouth.
While typically a meat-eater, the D. Plumbicare has occasionally been observed consuming plants when food is scarce. Animals offered to the D. Plumbicare have died in one of three ways: by suffocation, complete dissolution, or simply from exhaustion.
