Alabama scored first when Ty Simpson threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to Germie Gernard. Indiana quickly answered with a 61-yard touchdown connection between Fernando Mendoza and Roman Hemby, just under a minute later. Mendoza then found Elijah Sarratt for a 3-yard touchdown right before halftime, giving Indiana the lead.

Man, Indiana really came out strong in the third quarter with another touchdown – that made it 21-13. Becker snagged a sweet 6-yard pass from Mendoza for the score. But honestly, Alabama was about to show Indiana what they were made of and start fighting back.

Immediately after Indiana scored three times in a row, Alabama answered right back with three scores of their own. It began with a touchdown catch by Ryan Williams, and then Jam Miller ran for a touchdown.

Trailing 24-21, Indiana had one final opportunity. The drive began deep in their own territory, at the 6-yard line, but quarterback Mendoza played exceptionally well, leading a nine-play, 94-yard march down the field that ended in a touchdown. This gave the Hoosiers a 28-24 lead with just 50 seconds remaining in the game.

Mendoza had a great game, scoring four touchdowns and throwing for over 400 yards. Indiana struggled to convert on third downs, succeeding only three times out of ten, which limited their scoring. Despite this, their defense played well and kept Alabama from scoring much until the final quarter.

Alabama advanced close to scoring territory, but their last-second pass attempt fell incomplete, securing a victory for Indiana. This win sends Indiana to the Peach Bowl, where they will play either Oregon or Texas Tech.

Okay, that’s the end of the Alabama versus Indiana game as played out in College Football 26! I really enjoyed watching that one, and I’m already looking forward to seeing what happens in the next simulation they run.

We’re planning several improvements to our game simulations. Currently, changes we make to CPU and player settings don’t seem to affect CPU versus CPU games. Despite this, we’re still committed to making these simulations better.
