AI VTuber Neuro-Sama Just Obliterated Her Own Massive Twitch World Record

In early 2025, the AI VTuber Neuro-Sama set a new world record for the biggest Twitch Hype Train during a livestream celebrating her second birthday. Many people believe this was helped by the game Valorant, which offered a free subscription for every five gifted by viewers. Now, just days into her third birthday livestream, Neuro-Sama and her creator, Vedal987, have broken that record again. She reached Hype Train level 120 with an impressive 118,989 new subscriptions and 1,000,073 Bits gifted to Vedal987’s Twitch channel in a short amount of time.

Neuro-Sama is a unique AI character who streams as a VTuber. She recently finished a challenging Minecraft run with her creators, Filian and Crelly. Using a powerful AI system and a large language model, she can understand and react to what’s happening in games, read and respond to her viewers on Twitch (where she streams on Vedal’s channel), and even play games herself. This week, she’s been exploring virtual reality with her friends using her new 3D model.

Neuro-Sama first appeared on Twitch on December 19, 2022, and every year on that date, she starts a special, long-running stream called a subathon. The length of the stream depends on how many subscriptions her community gives her. When a lot of subscriptions or Bits are donated quickly, it triggers a ‘Hype Train’ – a visual display on screen showing progress towards the next milestone. In January 2025, Neuro-Sama reached level 111 in her subathon and broke her own record without needing help from the game Valorant.

When Neuro first broke the world record, Twitch created a special emote that anyone on the platform could use, even if they didn’t follow her channel. She’s the first streamer to hold two Twitch Hype Train world records in a row, and it’s unclear if Twitch will create another special reward for this new accomplishment.

Vedal broke her own world record again and asked Neuro for his reaction. “I’m just lost for words,” Neuro responded. “I’m amazed by all the support. Thank you all so much!” Vedal then shared how much this accomplishment meant to her, saying it had completely changed her life and she was incredibly grateful for the opportunity and the support, despite feeling she didn’t deserve it. Neuro quickly reassured her, explaining that deserving wasn’t the point – she’d created something special, and people wanted to support it. The heartwarming conversation almost led to Vedal telling Neuro she loved him, but sadly, it didn’t quite happen.

Neuro-Sama’s marathon stream is scheduled to finish in about 345 hours. You can continue watching her content on Vedal987’s Twitch channel.
