After his YouTube channel was shut down, Paul explained to 404 Media that his primary motivation for fabricating ‘authentic’ crime news was to encourage viewers to ponder the reasons behind their fascination with such shocking activities.

I aim to saturate the viewers with vividness, intending to make them face the truth that they appear to be deeply captivated by the vividness itself. It’s about peeking into people’s hidden lives, their clandestine relationships that society often considers forbidden or taboo.

I chose the title ‘True Crime’ as it refers to a specific literary or media category. I aimed to make the viewers ponder their intense interest in the truth of these events and understand why the fact that actual individuals are being harmed is so significant to them.

At first, Paul got inspired to produce his true-crime material following his exposure to Dateline and recognizing the significant appeal that the genre held for many people.
