Independent content studio AGC Studios, led by Stuart Ford, has elevated sales and distribution executive Sara Ghorra to the position of Vice President.
As chairperson and CEO, Ford stated, “Sara has been a valuable asset to our sales and distribution team since she joined the company three years ago due to her determination, energy, and sharp multi-cultural insights. It’s with great pleasure that I announce this well-deserved promotion for her.
Ghorra’s promotion now includes a larger sales area, encompassing new regions such as Airlines, China, Japan, South Korea, the former Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, CIS and Baltics, and South Africa. Previously, her territories covered the Middle East, Greece, Israel, Iceland, Portugal, Turkey, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Mongolia, India, Singapore, Vietnam, and the West Indies.

Ghorra’s promotion expands her sales territory to include airlines as well as countries like China, Japan, South Korea, etc., along with regions from the former Yugoslavia to the Baltics and South Africa. Prior to this, she was responsible for sales in areas including the Middle East, Greece, Israel, Iceland, Portugal, Turkey, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Mongolia, India, Singapore, Vietnam, and the West Indies.
Prior to relocating to the U.S. with AGC in 2021, Ghorra was stationed in Dubai working for Empire Entertainment, a Middle East distribution company. In this role, she oversaw film acquisitions. Before transitioning into acquisition and sales, she managed marketing and public relations for Empire Entertainment’s entire collection (which included Sony Pictures, 20th Century Studios, and independent films) in the Levant region, operating from their Beirut headquarters.
Ghorra completed her undergraduate studies in Business Administration, majoring in Marketing, at the American University of Beirut (AUB). To expand her knowledge, she pursued a Master’s degree in Visual and Digital Media from Spain’s IE University in Madrid.
Ghorra and the AGC team are jetting off to the European Film Market with two freshly unveiled films for sale: “Kiss of the Spider Woman,” directed by Bill Condon, a captivating sensation from Sundance that boasts stars Diego Luna, Tonatiuh, and Jennifer Lopez, produced by Artists Equity and Mohari Media; and the hilarious road trip comedy “Driver’s Ed,” helmed by Bobby Farrelly.
