Sucker Punch Productions is saying goodbye to a key figure. Brian Fleming, a co-founder and the creative force behind popular games like Sly Cooper, inFAMOUS, and Ghost of Tsushima, will be leaving the company at the end of the year after 28 years.
Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that Michael Fleming is leaving his position. While the specific reasons for his departure and what he plans to do next haven’t been shared, it’s been confirmed that he spent the last year working with PlayStation Studios to make sure Sucker Punch Productions remains successful and is well-positioned for the future.
Starting January 1, 2026, Jason Connell and Adrian Bentley will be the new leaders of the company. They’ve both worked at the studio for a long time and played a key role in popular stories, including the Japanese samurai tale and the recently launched Ghost of Yotei.
Jason, a creative leader on the Ghost series, was instrumental in defining the studio’s look and how its stories were told. He gave the games a strong cinematic feel and created emotionally powerful experiences that connected with PlayStation players.
As technical director, Adrian oversaw all of the studio’s engineering and production work. His innovations in development tools and game systems were key to creating the incredibly immersive worlds Sucker Punch is known for.
We’re hoping the new management team will make good decisions about future projects. Currently, Sucker Punch hasn’t revealed what they’re working on next – they’re expected to decide after the release of the Legends expansion for Ghost of Tsushima in 2026.
